Barry Morris holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, in which he focused on the studies of Accounting and Finance.
From 1978, he invested in property, acquired and operated hospitality and retail properties before venturing into property development with James Court in 1992.
Since then, Barry has successfully developed over $1.2 billion in various property segments as a principal of Morris Group, Amalgamated Property Group and Amalgamated Property Group Queensland. The establishment of an in house construction company, which has delivered over $500 million in construction works, has enabled Barry to operate an integrated construction, development and property investment business in which buildability and livability go hand-in-hand to deliver superior product to both investors and occupiers.
In 2009, Barry and daughter Louise launched Morris Property Group. Barry manages developments and investments for Morris Property Group in Canberra, Queensland and Victoria and continues to manage developments and investment properties in Queensland as principal of APGQ.
Construction Director, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Victoria
James commenced his career as a Cadet Engineer with MPG’s construction company in 2007 working on Sierra Grand Broadbeach.
James expanded his skillset while working on other high profile projects in Queensland such as Element Burleigh Beach and 179 Turbot Street in Brisbane before undertaking the Site Foreman role at Eclipse Broadbeach. In 2012 James relocated to Canberra as Contracts Administrator at Sentinel Belconnen and in 2014 James was appointed Project Manager for the Canberra House redevelopment including the 191 residential apartment project known as Mayfair.
Following the successful completion of Mayfair and due to the expansion of MPG’s development and construction activities, James was appointed Director of MPG Constructions heading up MPG’s construction activities in Canberra, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
As Construction Director, James is responsible for MPG’s projects, reviewing design and construction methods and implementing ‘The Morris Way’ to produce synergies and efficiencies across the design and construction teams.
Additionally James is responsible for overseeing tendering, budgeting, monthly cost reporting and programming and reporting to MPG’s Upper Management Meeting.
Finance Manager, Queensland
Sue joined Morris Property Group in May 2007, shortly after arriving from the UK. She has over 20 years experience in the Insurance and Finance sector, including 10 years at Liverpool Victoria, one of the UK’s largest insurance companies.
Her time there also included a 2 year internal secondment to work as a Productivity Analyst, to identify areas of process improvement in all areas of the business.
At Morris Property Group Sue is responsible for supervising and controlling all aspects of the group’s financial operations as well as the day to day running of the Finance and HR Department. Sue is also involved in the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for all projects undertaken by Morris Property Group through all stages, from development to construction and finally to settlement.
General Manager Development, Queensland
Brodie Lister has over 10 years’ experience in the Development industry on varied high-profile local and international projects.
Brodie holds a Business Degree and also a Masters Degree in Urban Development. Brodie has previous development experience on a number of projects including The Wave Broadbeach, Blue C apartments Coolangatta, Metropole apartments Brisbane and a 185 acre resort and gated estate whole-of-Island development in Fiji.
Brodie joined the Development team at Morris Property Group in 2004 and has been responsible for coordinating projects such as 143 Turbot Street Brisbane , 179 Turbot Street Brisbane, Verve Broadbeach, Ivory Burleigh beach, Sierra Grand Broadbeach, Element Burleigh Beach, Eclipse Broadbeach & Synergy Apartments Broadbeach.
Brodie is currently responsible for the end-to-end development management of Morris Property Group projects in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. His role includes site and investment acquisition analysis, town planning, concept designs, feasibility studies, authority approvals, marketing and sales, design coordination, finance and project completion.
Senior Development Manager, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria
As Senior Development Manager Geordie is responsible for end-to-end delivery of developments located in the ACT, Queensland and Victoria.
Geordie has diverse experience in the property industry with a background in commercial valuations, town planning and project management.
Geordie holds a Bachelor of Property and Sustainable Development with majors in Property Valuation and Urban Development and Sustainability from Bond University on the Gold Coast.
Geordie joined Morris Property Group in January 2013 and has been responsible for delivery of several projects across the MPG portfolio.

Since joining Morris Property Group in 2015, Kieren has been involved in the successful delivery of a number of large scale mixed-use projects.
As Development Manager Kieren is involved throughout all aspects of the development life cycle including acquisition, design, marketing and completion.
Kieren holds a Bachelor of Environments (Property) from The University of Melbourne.

Sam joined the Morris Property Group team in the Queensland office in May 2019.
As Development Manager, Sam is involved throughout all aspects of the development life cycle including acquisition, design, marketing and project completion.
Sam’s career originated in Commercial sales and leasing in the inner fringe suburbs of Brisbane. Sam holds a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning from Griffith University in Brisbane.
Assistant Development Manager, Australian Capital Territory
As Assistant Development Manager, Ben works across a number of MPG projects and manages several aspects of the development life-cycle including acquisition, design, marketing and project handover.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma of Property from Deakin University. Prior to working in property development Ben was working as a licensed property valuer.

Travis Gielen has extensive experience in the marketing, sale and ongoing management of residential projects in both Canberra and Queensland.
Prior to joining MPG, Travis worked in Canberra with a multi-national property agency across some of the city’s most significant residential developments, including those by MPG. Upon relocating to QLD in 2017, Travis worked in agency across major residential developments in South East QLD before making the move to MPG in 2020.
He now manages MPG’s extensive portfolio of residential developments across QLD to deliver Project Marketing, Sales, Leasing, Management Rights, Building/Facilities Management, Short-Term Leasing (Hotel Management) and Property Management. Travis’ extensive experience in these areas allows the MPG team to deliver end to end property solutions for our valued clients.
Sales Manager, Australian Capital Territory
Michael joined Morris Property Group in 2019 to be a founding member of the ACT based Project Sales & Marketing Team as part of an initiative to bring all facets of Property Development under one roof.
Upon completing his secondary education, Michael pursued a career in Real Estate focusing on residential property sales in the Woden and Weston Creek area. In a matter of months, Michael had made a positive impact on the market in Chapman with a street record of $1.1m.
In 2012, Michael parted ways with Real Estate to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry. Over a 7 year period, Michael held a variety of management and sales roles in various gyms across Canberra and for the last 3 years has operated a successful private gym as Co-Director and Head Coach.
Michael brings a diverse skill set to his new role at Morris Property Group, having completed studies in Behavioural Sciences, Personal Training and his Real Estate Qualifications.
Michael now begins a new journey in the family business in the Project Sales & Marketing Team with his first big project being Renaissance in Manuka

Meghan commenced with Morris Property Group in January 2021.
As Marketing Manager, Meghan leads the execution of all digital strategy and marketing campaigns. Meghan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Global Studies) from the University of Canberra and brings with her a number of years of experience working in the marketing space.

Heng joined Morris Property Group in 2020 as Sales Executive in the ACT Sales & Marketing Team.
Heng joins MPG after pursuing a career in established residential real estate after completing his Master of Finance at the Australian National University. Heng is diligent and adopts a down-to-earth approach to the sales process, he has helped many local and international clients find new homes.
Heng believes in building and maintaining strong ongoing relationships through honest communication and old fashioned service.

Jesse has completed a double degree at the Griffith University, where he studied a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Bachelor of Business majoring in Real-estate and property development. He has undertaken an internship managing an equity portfolio to the value of $250,000 in university and government grants.
Jesse is an avid young property investor who began his property career at the Professionals real estate group as a sales associate. He brings passion for the property industry and is continually refining his skills in project marketing.

Prior to working with Morris group Hayley started her sales career within the automotive industry for Brands such as Mercedes Benz and Audi.
Hayley’s background in architecture and design is why she wanted to make the move into real estate and assist people in tailoring the purchase journey with a high level of customer service.

Barry has over 25 years of training and experience in the Work Health & Safety industry and has been instrumental in assisting 20+ companies achieve OFSC compliance across Australia.
Barry has been responsible for the development and implementation of work health & safety management systems for industrial manufacturing plants, transport services and most recently within the civil and construction sector.Barry commenced his role as Morris Property Group’s Corporate Safety Officer in 2016 having previously worked as a Consultant in his own business. Barry’s role enables him to share his experiences with fellow workers with the endeavour of making our industry a safer place for everyone involved. Barry received his Diploma in Work Health Safety from National Qualifications Australia in 2011 and was recognised as a lead auditor for Quality, Safety & Environmental management systems in 2003

Roman is a practising lawyer, specialising in construction and commercial law.
Admitted to practise law in the ACT in 2014, Roman worked previously as a lawyer at a boutique civil and commercial litigation law firm where he specialised in construction and commercial litigation. Since that time, he has held in-house legal and construction contracts management positions. Roman holds a Master of Laws from the Australian National University. As General Counsel for the Morris Property Group’s ACT construction division, Roman provides advice and supervision for legal and commercial matters throughout the full project life cycle.
Commercial Manager, Queensland
Jessica joined Morris Property Group in 2014 and has been involved with the successful delivery of several projects across the MPG portfolio.
As Contracts Manager, Jessica is responsible for Cost Planning, Design Coordination, Procurement, Commercial Reporting and providing support to the site based Construction Teams.
Jessica has worked in the Building and Construction Industry for 15 years and has experience on a variety of projects in QLD and ACT including High Rise, Retail, Government, Aged Care and Residential.

Edgar joined Morris Property Group in 2018.
He brings 15 years’ experience in Construction Estimating and Contract Administration, across a range of Residential, Aged Care and Government projects in Queensland and the ACT. As part of the management team for the ACT, Edgar is responsible for cost planning, procurement, commercial reporting and providing support to the ACT CA team.

Leigh joined Morris Property Group in 2020.
As Contracts Manager, Leigh is responsible for Cost Planning, Design Coordination, Procurement, Commercial Reporting and providing support to the site based construction teams in the ACT.
Leigh started in the construction industry in 2002 and has worked on a range of projects including medical, high rise residential, education, industrial, defence, office and sports stadiums. During his time in the industry Leigh has worked in Sydney, Dubbo, Brisbane, Townsville and is currently based in the ACT.

Farzad joined the Canberra based construction division of Morris Property Group in 2014 having previously completed a wide range of high end single residential homes, boutique townhouse projects and specialised fit outs. Since then, Farzad has gone on to oversee a number of high rise residential and large scale commercial projects ensuring success and a positive outcome for the Client while dealing with unique challenges each project faces.
Farzad continues to improve his knowledge of construction through his continued education and has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science – Construction Management through Curtin University.
Farzad is a highly dedicated and enthusiastic individual who has been accepted into the MPG family and now considers them his own.
Site Manager, Australian Capital Territory
Josh has over 20 years experience supervising and managing high rise and commercial projects throughout southeast Queensland.
Josh started with Morris Property Group in June 2014 on the Synergy Apartments Broadbeach project and has played a key role in delivering a number of other high end projects including Boardwalk Burleigh and Oceans, Mermaid Beach.
David joined Morris Property Group in July 2018 in the role of Assistant Accountant.
With a career originating in sport, David made the transition to accounting in 2016 after attaining a Masters of Professional accounting from RMIT University in Melbourne.
Prior to Morris Property Group, David’s accounting experience resided predominately in tax before commencing his Chartered Accountancy and transitioning to the commercial sector with Mantra Group.
Mark commenced with Morris Property Group in August 2019 in the finance team as a commercial accountant.
He has 6 years experience in accounting and is finalising his Chartered Accountant designation. With a background in tax accounting, which included exposure to a broad range of industries, Mark had the opportunity to work with a number of clients in the building and construction industry. This lead to developing a passion for the industry and the decision to transition to commercial accounting with Morris Property Group.
Accounts Manager, Queensland
Kelsi joined the Morris Property group team in the Queensland office in January 2016.
A career originating in accounts and office administration, Kelsi’s passion to progress has extended her proficiency to manage the residential and commercial assets of Morris Property Group.
Kelsi is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the investment assets. Her role includes managing tenants, property maintenance and keeping an accurate record of inspections, rent collection, budget costs and lease agreements.

Dana joined the Morris Property group team in the Queensland office in May 2019 as an Office and Accounts Administrator.
Her role includes accounts receivable and payable functions within the company and provides support to the Development Managers and to the Construction Contract Administrators within the company.
