High Renaissance: Stage 2 of Manuka’s Renaissance released

On Thursday 10 September Morris Property Group formally released the second stage of Manuka’s Renaissance development to the market, 30 boutique residences on Stuart Street, Griffith dubbed ‘High Renaissance’.

The $30 million High Renaissance project is a limited release of low-rise residences spread across four levels – 25 apartments and five townhouses. Morris Property Group’s director Barry Morris said yesterday 13 of the 30 homes have already been snapped up, with the deposits taken amounting to $10 million in sales.

“People are prepared to invest in quality, especially when it comes to their homes, despite the

market uncertainty of recent months,” Mr Morris said.

“This has been demonstrated yet again by the fact that more than a third of the apartments in High Renaissance were sold before today’s formal launch to market.

“This is not a one-size-fits-all apartment building. High Renaissance represents a rare opportunity to

buy a quality home in one of Canberra’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, with never-to-be-built- out views over Light Street Park.”

Construction on High Renaissance is expected to be complete by early 2022. Mr Morris said there is a range of layouts to suit different buyers, including young professionals, downsizers and families, “with premium fittings including stone benchtops, Franke appliances, floor-to-ceiling double-glazed

windows and generous balconies and courtyards”.

“Two of the townhouses even have private lifts.”

“Some developers would have chosen to put many more apartments on this prime site, but that’s not what we wanted for High Renaissance,” Mr Morris said.

He said the project would feature brick facades and landscaped grounds, taking its cues from the heritage buildings in Canberra’s inner-south.

Residences at High Renaissance range from $499,900 to $2,149,900. Construction on stage 1 of the $300 million Renaissance development began in July and is expected to be completed in late 2021, with 80% of the 93 apartments already sold.
